AWARDS BANQUET

"PRESERVATION PROJECT OF THE YEAR" 
was awarded to the Route 66 Association of Illinois for the restoration of the Meramec Caverns sign and barn in Hammel, Illinois.

"BOOK OF THE YEAR"

was awarded to Shellee Graham for her chronicle of Tales from the Coral Court - Photos and Stories from the Lost Route 66 Landmark.
 

Dot Leavitt, 
owner of curator of 
DOT'S MINI MUSEUM, 
in Vega, Texas was presented with 
a California Route 66 Shield 
autographed by Martin Milner 
to display in her museum 
in appreciation for her contribution 
to the Mother Road.

Winners of the Young Writer's Competition, sponsored by Route 66 Magazine,
received awards for their fictional tales on Route 66.
